Founded in 2022, Saimai Knit & Earn is a local initiative that aims to empower disadvantaged women in the Saimai neighborhood through knitting. We hope to push the women towards economic independence by providing them with free knitting education and a means to display and sell their wonderfully distinctive pieces. Each knitted item created is handmade with dedication and care. There are no two pieces that are the same, much like how the backstories of these women are unique to them. We are united by our love for this form of creative expression, forming a truly tight-knit community here in the Saimai district of Bangkok, Thailand. We host workshops in the Saimai neighborhood every Saturday, from 9am to 10:30am.
